Terms of use and privacy

AxleKite is in early beta. These terms explain what the app does, what it does not do, and how your information is handled. Last updated 13 October 2026.

The short version: AxleKite gives planning guidance, not certification. Only a licensed certifier or engineer in your state can tell you a build is legal to register and drive. Some state rules in the app are still marked as needing confirmation — treat those as starting points, not answers.

Terms of use

Early beta. AxleKite is being tested with a small group of builders, workshops and stores. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Access is controlled with tester codes and may be paused during maintenance.

Guidance, not certification. Lift limits, tyre rules, guard coverage checks, AI photo checks and AI adviser suggestions are planning tools. They do not certify, approve or guarantee that a vehicle complies with any law. Rules marked “needs confirmation” have not been verified against an official source. Always confirm with your state authority and a licensed certifier or engineer before modifying or registering a vehicle.

Measurements. Lift, tyre and guard figures you enter are your responsibility. The guard photo check and overlay are visual aids only — an uncalibrated photo cannot establish physical dimensions or compliance.

Quotes and businesses. Prices shown in the configurator are estimates. Quotes come from independent workshops and retail stores; AxleKite does not perform the work, set their prices, or guarantee their availability. Partner credentials shown in the app reflect documents submitted to us and our review — you should still confirm a business’s licences and insurance yourself.

Your account. Keep your sign-in details and tester code to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend access that is misused, including scraping, abuse of the AI features, or submitting false credentials.

Liability. To the extent the law allows, AxleKite is provided “as is” during beta, without warranties. We are not liable for decisions made from app guidance, for work done by independent businesses, or for loss arising from downtime or data errors. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

Privacy

What we collect. Your email address and sign-in details; the builds, measurements, photos and notes you save; feedback and screenshots you send; workshop and store listings you submit; and basic usage analytics (pages visited, enquiry form events, approximate location if you allow it for the nearby search).

How it is used. To run the app: saving and sharing your builds, routing quote requests to businesses you choose, checking photos you upload for guard coverage, and notifying you about reviews, schematics and enquiries. Photos you upload for the guard check are processed by an AI model to produce a visual verdict.

Sharing. A build you share by link is visible to anyone with that link — treat links like keys. Quote requests are sent to the workshops or stores they are addressed to. We do not sell your personal information.

Storage and retention. Data is stored in our hosted database and file storage. During beta we may retain data to diagnose problems. You can ask for your account and saved data to be deleted by emailing us.

Contact. Questions or deletion requests: use the feedback form in the app, or the enquiry form on the workshop page.

These terms apply to the beta and will be replaced with full terms before public launch.
